なんでにほんごはべんきょうしますか
わたしはにほんじんがあります、だからにほんごのばんきょうしますね。よくわたしはアニメをみています。
I chose to study Japanese because I was stationed over in Japan and had an interest to learn more. I studied a little bit of Japanese, but I didn’t get as much verbal practice as I would like because on the military bases everyone speaks English. I only really needed to learn phrases, but I wanted to be able to communicate with my Japanese friends in Japanese rather than English, so my passion to learn Japanese and communicate with other people grew.
I have been excited to start Japanese this semester with Eguchi Sensei because we do a lot of verbal practice in class, which assists me where I seem to be lacking the most practical application. I previously only studied vocabulary which made understanding Japanese easier, but speaking it is very difficult.
The first few weeks of this course, I was most challenged to put together sentences correctly. Learning more about how particles are used in the sentence structure has been a good challenge for me along with being able to speak it.
